Buses are perfect vehicles for moving large groups of people from one place to another. But what happens when your passengers have special needs, like wheelchairs, motorized scooters or disabilities that may affect their ability to gain access during travel?
If youre thinking of transporting disabled passengers on your accessible bus, or retrofitting an existing vehicle to make it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), you need to be familiar with the myriad of rules and regulations governing accessible transportation.

A motor vehicle accident can be a terrifying experience. However, the problems rarely stop after the accident when a personal injury is suffered. Individuals are faced with not only a wrecked vehicle, but medical bills and loss of income. The best decision that anyone can make when this happens is to get the help of an attorney.
Accidents are an unfortunate fact of life. Many times it is not even the fault of the person that caused the accident, but someone has to be held responsible for what happened. If you were not at fault, the person that was the cause of the accident will have to make amends financially to everyone else in the accident. At times, there is no other recourse but to pursue legal proceedings.

There are some who swear by carpooling, claiming that it has saved them hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars in just a years time all because they don't have to expend the cost of fueling up their own car, making a car payment or paying for car insurance.
But is carpooling really as effective as many people make it out to be? In some areas of North Carolina, for instance, because it is so spread out, the nearest bus stop may not be for miles. Additionally, due to the geographic location of things, taking a taxi to get around may wind up costing you upwards of $100 in just one day! For example, a few years ago, I took a taxi from the airport in Raleigh to get back to my apartment (also in Raleigh). The ride was only fifteen minutes, but it wound up costing me close to $50! That's a lot of money for such a short commute. Could you imagine doing that every day!
